Marshall was born in New York City, New York, and is the daughter of actress Joan Van Ark and reporter John Marshall. She started voice acting after being discovered during a solo performance.
Excluding Harley Quinn, she has voiced the character of Wonder Woman four times before in Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths (2010), Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox (2013), the video game Infinite Crisis and Superman: Red Son (2020). She has also appeared in many other DC properties where she's voiced characters such as Poison Ivy and Catwoman, among many others.
