Thomas Wayne was the father of Bruce Wayne and husband of Martha Wayne. He was killed by Joe Chill, later to be resurrected by his son using Frank the Plant.

Background[]
Thomas Wayne was born into the wealthy Wayne Family. He later met Martha Wayne, whom he fell in love with and later married. He and Martha would later have a son, Bruce Wayne. One night, the family went to Monarch Theater in Crime Alley after Bruce begged him to take him to the movies. After leaving the Monarch Theater, Thomas and Martha took a shortcut home by walking through Crime Alley to please Bruce rather than riding in their limousine. They were approached by Joe Chill, who mugged and killed them both right in front of their son, leaving Bruce traumatized. Bruce would be raised by their butler Alfred Pennyworth and become the vigilante superhero Batman.
Season 3[]
"Batman Begins Forever"[]

After being paralyzed in his grief for 30 years, Bruce kidnapped Frank the Plant from a supervillain Poison Ivy, planning to bring Thomas and Martha back to life.

While not physically present, Thomas was still seen throughout Bruce Wayne's subconscious when Harley's crew entered Bruce's mind. Harley's crew were dropped into Bruce’s memory of his and his wife’s murder in Crime Alley. They all soon that this event is looping everywhere they go with dozens of clones of Thomas as Bruce has blocked out all his memories except this one. Clayface, tries to interview the multiple versions of him as research for his movie, but Joe Chill swiftly shoots each Thomas and Martha before he has the chance to get his answers. Meanwhile, Harley Quinn takes action by shielding one of the young Bruces from seeing Thomas and Martha die from Joe’s gunshot.

After a while, back at Wayne Manor, Bruce and Alfred Pennyworth would go to Thomas and Martha’s graves. They would inject the graves with Frank's serum, bringing Thomas and Martha back to life as zombies and reuniting with their son.

After Thomas and Martha were resurrected, Bruce returned with them to Wayne Manor. When Bruce entered his study and gleefully introduced his zombified parents as if they were humans to Batgirl, Nightwing, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Doctor Psycho, and Clayface. Zombified Thomas and Martha, more well-behaved than rabid, allowed themselves to be marched to the Batcave by Bruce. In the Batcave, zombified Thomas and Martha were introduced to their grandson, Damian Wayne, who didn’t seem to care and left the Batcave.

Later, while walking through Wayne Manor, Bruce and the zombified Thomas and Martha ran into King Shark. He tells Bruce that there are masses of zombies beside Martha and Thomas, while zombie Thomas eats one of Bruce's cats named after him and his wife. King relates to Bruce over the deaths in their families, and Bruce decides to fix what he can and re-kill the zombified Thomas and Martha in the graveyard. To save Bruce from further trauma, King volunteers to kill them on his behalf and re-kills Thomas and Martha for Bruce.

Thomas and Martha's bodies were later buried back in their graves by Alfred Pennyworth at Wayne Manor.
Trivia[]
- In "It's a Swamp Thing", Bruce named his two new cats after Thomas and Martha.
- In the biographical movie A Hard Wayne's Gonna Fall Thomas was played by the actor Billy Bob Thornton, later to be impersonated by Clayface.
