Superman is a minor character in the T.V. series, Harley Quinn. He is a member of the Justice League.

Appearance

Superman is a tall and muscular male with dark brown hair. He wears blue skintight suit and red cape with a red and yellow 'S' symbol on his chest.

Biography

Background

Superman, born Kal-El, is a powerful Kryptonian who came to Earth as a baby when his home planet, Krypton was dying. He is the protector of Metropolis and a member of the Justice League. As a civilian, he works as Clark Kent, a journalist at the Daily Planet and the boyfriend of Lois Lane.

Season 1

Superman is first seen in a flashback in the episode "So You Need a Crew?" when the Queen of Fables retells the story of how she got imprisoned in a U.S. Tax Code book by the Justice League.

He makes his first full appearance in the episode "Finding Mr. Right" when Harley Quinn kidnaps Lois Lane after she wrote an unfavorable article about her fighting Robin. However, Superman thought she was just upset about the $7.99 per month without crosswords on her online news site the Daily Planet.

In the episode "L.O.D.R.S.V.P." Clayface transforms into Superman in an attempt to convince Aquaman to leave from the Legion of Doom. However, Aquaman saw right through the disguise and knocked Clayface's head off with his trident, transforming him back into clay.

Superman appears again alongside other Justice League members, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Green Lantern in "Devil's Snare" to stop Scarecrow's mutated tree monsters from taking over Gotham. Soon enough, Queen of Fables shows up and traps them all in her storybook as revenge for the past. Superman is the last to fight back against getting sucked into the book until Fables pushes him down with her spear, trapping him there with the rest of the team.

Season 2

After Doctor Psycho took over Gotham by taking control of Darkseid's parademons, Harley realized that she needed to get the Justice League back to stop him. In "A Fight Worth Fighting For" Superman and the rest of the Justice League were brought back after Harley tracked down the book and had Batman call Zatanna Zatara who used a spell to free them. They were thankful to be back, claiming how that place was hell with Superman reiterating how they were forced to listen to the same songs over and over.

In "Lovers' Quarrel" Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman fought back against the parademon infestation in Gotham but soon faced Clayface, King Shark and Poison Ivy who had been mind-controlled by Psycho. After Superman severed the vines Ivy was controlling and Wonder Woman managed to get Poison Ivy tied up in her Lasso of truth, Harley told the Justice League to leave Ivy alone and stop Dr. Psycho. Superman and Wonder Woman both declared Ivy to be too dangerous and that she needed to be taken down before dealing with Dr. Psycho. Believing that they intend to kill Ivy, Harley pushed Superman away from her and forbade them from doing so, telling them she loves Ivy more than anyone in the world. Superman corrected Harley and stated he wouldn't kill her, but just send her to the Phantom Zone for the rest of eternity. Harley demanded she be sent there with Ivy as well, much to the surprise of Superman, who was still willing to oblige. However, before they could do anything, Psycho controlled Ivy to release her pheromones on the Trinity who became too horny and focused on each other to continue the fight. Superman obsessively looked at his pecs and asked a grossed out Harley if she wanted to feel them.

In "The Runaway Bridesmaid" Superman alongside other heroes received a key to the city from Gotham's mayor for saving the city.

Powers

Kryptonian Physiology: Under the effects of a "yellow" sun, Superman possesses the same potential powers as the average Kryptonian: vast superhuman strength, speed, and stamina; invulnerability; flight; super breath; x-ray vision; telescopic and microscopic vision; freeze breath; heat vision; and super hearing.
- Solar Energy Absorption: Under optimal conditions, this is the main source of Superman's superpowers.
  - Superhuman Strength: Superman is superhumanly strong.
  - Superhuman Speed: Superman is able to move at superhuman speed.
  - Invulnerability: Superman is nigh-invulnerable to all physical attacks.
  - Flight: Superman is able to levitate and fly at will.
  - Heat Vision: Superman is able to project beams of intense heat from his eyes.

Abilities

Journalism: As Clark Kent, he works for the Daily Planet as a journalist.
Multilingualism: He can speak English and other alien languages including some of the parademon language.

Weaknesses

Vulnerability to Kryptonite - Superman is weak against Kryptonite, which is the radioactive fragments of his home planet, Krypton.

Equipment

Phantom Zone Projector: Superman carries with him a device used to transport prisoners and objects to and from the Phantom Zone which he tried to use to banish Harley's crew to the Phantom Zone in "Devil's Snare" and later just Poison Ivy in "Lovers' Quarrel".
