Synopsis[]

When Batgirl goes missing, Harley goes on an adventure with her roommate, while a spotlight-shy Ivy connects with a PR team after her Malcon success.

Plot[]

Inside a log cabin, Gordon and his ex-wife Barbara Sr. spend time together until he gets a call from Nora offering him a job at the Legion of Doom after finding his resume in Noonan's Bar. Elated by the job offer, Gordon immediately accepts it and takes a snow jet down the mountain, leaving Barbara Sr. behind.

The Bat Family stands perched on a roof on the lookout, and Harley wacks Nightwing with the guest binder they used with the two would-be thieves. Batgirl asks Harley to take their job seriously, and Harley claims she is, but is upset that they aren't wearing the friendship bracelets she made them. Leaping into action after hearing an alarm go off, they chase after the would-be robbers as Nightwing curtly tells Harley they're wearing the bracelets as they're not friends. However, Harley compares the Bat Family to friends like her old crew. She goes on to compare Batgirl as King Shark, Robin as Doctor Psycho, and Nightwing as Clayface because he's a drama queen. As Harley tries to help the crew, Harley's night vision starts to act up and gets knocked out.

When Harley awakens, she finds herself in Supergirl's optometry office, which tells her that her laser surgery went great and that she now has 20/20 night vision. Excited for her commitment to the job, she will finally get the crew to wear the friendship bracelets she made for them. However, Supergirl explains that her contact to pick her up fell through, so Harley contacts Ivy, but it goes straight to voice mail. So Harley contacts Nightwing, but he hangs up on her. Trying to contact Batgirl, Harley accidentally contacted Bane, who was having trouble going through TSA.

Later, Supergirl tells Harley that she needs to find someone to take her home, or else she'll have to undo the surgery so she can go home. Finally, when Harley tries to contact Batgirl, she doesn't answer her phone, leading Harley to believe she was abandoned.

At the LOD, Ivy gets a warm welcome from her LOD constitutes. Captain Cold compliments Ivy as the woman who conquered The Moon and compliments her for being with Steppenwolf. Nora also gives Ivy the gift from Talia al Ghul. However, Ivy was more interested in the pretzel gun, and noting how realistic it looked, Ivy fired it into Captain Cold's mouth, which fainted to the ground, and noted that the bullets were made from cookies. Ivy then asks what she missed while she was gone, and Nora claims that while she was gone, she thought it meant time off for her.

Lex then appears, telling Ivy to be careful with the gun, as it's a killer on the waistline. Lex, whom Ivy said looked taut, had sharp cheekbones and strands of hair on his head. He then hugs and compliments Ivy for killing it at the conference, which makes Ivy concerned, citing he seemed upset at the time, but Lex blames it on the falcon DNA he took. Lex intends to help Ivy take her game to the next level and announces he's gifting her his PR team The Jons. Although Ivy is against needing them, one of the Jons mimics getting a phone call from "delusion" and tries to hand it to Ivy as the other Jons surround her.

Meanwhile, Nora gives Gordon a tour of LOD and takes him to the breakroom, where she lists some of the stuff there, including a microwave/cloning machine. Gordon then spots Ivy's mentees, and Nora introduces them as Terra, Volcana, and Tefé.

Inside the meeting room, Ivy gifts her mentees t-shirts labeled "Natural Disasters" and apologizes that they have basketballs on them. She then asks the group about their ideas. Volcana wants to awaken dormant volcanos underneath Gotham, Terra wants to do an earthquake bingo, and Tefé wants to repopulate the sharks in Gotham. Loving the ideas, Ivy asks for suggestions on how to weave them together. The Jons interrupt the meeting, having Ivy attend to a different matter.

At the eye doctor, Harley is picked up by Barbara's roommate Alysia. In the car with Alysia, Harley learns from Alysia that after seeing 17 desperate texts and voicemails from someone named Harley, she never expected it to be the Harley Quinn. Alysia goes on to state that she used to be a kick-ass queer villain, but now she's part of the Bat Family. Alysia confesses that Harley's days as a villain helped her when she transitioned, and when Alysia asks where she should drop Harley off, she asks to be dropped off at the Gotham Zoo.

Arriving back at the Batcave with Bud and Lou, Harley is informed by an angry Nightwing that Batgirl is missing.

The Jons lead Ivy back to her office and inform her that she's a PR disaster despite receiving gifts from various villains. Even so, the Jons tell her she doesn't have worldwide popularity and that her last social media was in 2017 when she posted for a contest to win a free bagel. Although the Jons try to coax Ivy to improve her appearance, Ivy wants to focus on her three mentees, but the Jons claim that instead of three, she could mentor three billion. The proposal, accompanied by the flattery and cajolery of the Jons, entices Ivy, who was having fun with the photo shoot they did with her and was uneasy about the statue of her. However, the Jons argue that it was necessary based on the facts and data they have.

At the Batcave, Nightwing chastises Harley for getting what he calls plastic surgery on herself. Harley then mentions that Robin was with Talia and that she spoke with Alysia, Barbara's roommate, who claimed that she disappears for days at a time. Nightwing then points out they are with the Bat Family, which Harley curses. Nightwing then stops Bud and Lou from eating his book of clues and demands to know if Harley is putting them up to it. In her defense, Harley lists off the things she's given up to be a true part of the Bat Family. Still, Nightwing rejects her and leaves to find Batgirl on his own.

On the Tawny show, Tawny interviews Ivy while donning a new hairstyle. Ivy wanted to promote her plans for socially conscious evil, but Tawny changed the topic to the statue of herself being created. The interview changes to a segment called "Statue Cam", where the statue workers are shown working hard at creating the statue. Ivy asks Tawny if people want to see a statue carved. However, Tawny blows off Ivy and ends the segment, informing the audience that a lucky winner will win a bag of dust from the statute itself. The audience uproaring about it shocks Ivy.

Waiting in the green room for Ivy, Harley spots Nightwing watching her from behind a studio door. She calls him out as he leaves so she can spend time with her girlfriend.

After Harley yells at Nightwing, Ivy joins her and asks Harley if she saw how she was on stage. Understanding that they agreed not to talk about work-related stuff together, Harley asks Ivy if one of her LOD goons kidnapped Batgirl; Ivy is disheartened that Harley was there about that and not about supporting her. As Harley leaves, she's ambushed by Jeffrey the Parrot, and he escapes through the door Nightwing left open.

That night, Harley is caught sleeping in Barbara's bed by Alysia, and Harley confesses that she's looking for Barbara, who has gone missing. Alysia suggests looking through Barbara's phone, and her last known location is on a mountain, which Harley recruits to join her.

At LOD, Ivy learns from the Jons about her recent boost in approval with people and that they ghostwritten a book for her. They then have her sign some books until her mentees arrive and ask if Ivy has had the time to review their idea, but Ivy hasn't yet. While Volcana explains their plan, Ivy is more focused on her book signing, which Tera notes with an anecdote. They then leave, and Frank appears who had been visiting his sick sister Sally and has a book signed for her. However, she signs it to someone named Zazzy, and as Frank complains that Ivy has changed, he's dragged out of the room by two of the Jons.

Downstairs, Gordon tries to get the mentees to join him for a drink; however, they refuse, and Gordon misgenders Tefé, upsets Terra, and gets his crotch set on fire by Volcana. Brushing off the situation, Gordon claims he will drive his car home, which isn't "repossessed". However, he fakes walking to his car and reveals that he sleeps underneath his desk at his job.

Meanwhile, Harley has a dream where she's ice skating with Ivy, but when she comes too, it's revealed she had her hands on the wheel of Alysia's car and caused it to crash. They walk and talk, and Alysia advises Harley to seek treatment for her sleepwalking. Alysia confesses that she used to do it and that it was caused by repressing a part of herself. She wonders if it could be the same for Harley, which she denies. However, Alysia thinks that Harley could be suppressing her villain side.

Before Harley could answer, she spots Captain Cold, Blue Snowman, Minister Blizzard, and Icicle having a snowball fight. Without warning, Harley fights them, believing they have kidnapped Barbara, but she later appears holding some firewood.

Back at the LOD, Goron heats a baked potato in the microwave; however, Gordon accidentally activates its cloning mechanism and finds a hair on it, too. Thinking it was a prank by the mentees, Gordon was still happy he had a hot potato on his plate to enjoy.

At Barbara's log cabin, Harley asks Barbara to tell Nightwing that she saved him. Barbara thinks it's a better story than her rescuing her mother, who was abandoned by her father, who abandoned her to have sex with Ice Villain. Harley then asks about the gun shop, which Barbara claims was the only place to purchase groceries, and notes they make the best quiche. Barbara then has a heart-to-heart with Harley, trying to bond with Nightwing forcibly.

Ivy's statue is unveiled outside the LOD, and the Jons and Ivy present it to a large crowd. Her mentees approach her and inform her that their plan failed, but with her guidance, they can make things right. On the other hand, Ivy was far too focused on doing photo ops with her new statue, and one of the Jons gifts the group a book.

Sitting by a campfire, Harley is covered by Bud and Lou and sits across from Barbara. Taking a bite out of her quiche, Harley learns that she had a bullet in her piece, and Barbara tells her that she'll have good luck for the next 28 - 49 days. Harley then spots Nightwing sitting on a branch wearing her friendship bracelet, but he falls onto the campfire dead.
