Clayface II or Clayface #2 is a minor character who appeared in "Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine's Day Special". He is the lower part of Clayface, which gained sentience after he was split in half by Captain Boomerang.
Biography[]
In "Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine's Day Special", Clayface II is first created after Captain Boomerang slices Clayface in half and gains sentience. Soon after this, he gets into an argument with his upper half about who has been slain, but Clayface II eventually concedes they must remerge with each other. However, they both realize that, consequentially, they'd be alone again. From there, they form a romantic bond with each other, although conceding to the fact that they can never touch.
They later ride in separate carriages side-by-side but are careful not to touch each other. They don't touch each other even after being exposed to Ivy's pheromones, which fill all of Gotham with lust.
Afterward, the two decide to break up after being unable to fulfill their mutual desires for a physical romance. Before Clayface II leaves, Clayface offers him the two tickets to Brett Goldstein's performance, but he declines them and leaves.
Trying to gift someone his extra ticket to Brett's performance, Clayface II reappears before Clayface. Their reunion is tragic as Bane steps on them, causing them to touch and reform back into one.
Trivia[]
- A separate part of Clayface gaining sentience had happened once before in the series in "You're a Damn Good Cop, Jim Gordon" when Clayface's arm was cut off during a fight creating The Arm. However, unlike that time, this iteration is voiced by Alan Tudyk, who voices the original Clayface, unlike The Arm, who instead is voiced by Tom Kenny.
