At the movie set, Billy gets a text from his agent telling him Ryan Reynolds asked him to try his gin, although he replies firmly with "HELL NO". He was approached by Clayface, who was working as James Gunn's chair and tried to get him to give him one-on-one acting lessons in exchange for getting to sit on him in his chair form, although Billy explained he never sits. James Gunn then approached him and began expressing his complaints about the dialogue in the script, suggesting they meet for dinner to discuss some changes. Gunn dismissed this, but Clayface, who overheard, turned himself into James Gunn, returning only moments later, claiming he had changed his mind and invited him to meet that night.
- ❝ At first I thought maybe you're a stalker, but I can see behind those horrific clay-eyes. You're just a hungry actor. ❞
- — Billy Bob Thornton
Billy arrives at "James" apartment but soon realizes he is an imposter when he begins talking about his history acting on Gilmore Girls as that was not James, but his brother. He confronts Clayface, who reveals who he is. Billy soon gets over his upset, claiming he can see Clayface's true nature as a hungry actor, and offers to make him his protege. Clayface is thrilled, but when Billy asks for the bathroom, he accidentally directs him to the wrong room, resulting in him being decapitated by Catwoman's pet tiger, Princess. Following his death, Clayface has King Shark dispose of the body by eating him and goes on to impersonate him.
Legacy[]
Following his death, Clayface continued to impersonate him and took his place as Thomas Wayne in the movie.[1][2] On the movie's premiere, Clayface got sick of people praising Thornton despite him doing all the work and revealing himself to the world. However, the people just assumed Thornton was a shape-shifter, becoming even more impressed with him.[3]
